Where Family Matters

We know the best moments in life are enjoyed around the table with family and friends sharing great tasting food. We’re a second generation family owned business, and for over a quarter of a century we’ve provided great tasting, nutritious eggs to American families who continue to put their trust in us.

Second Generation Family Owned

The Farmer’s Hen was founded in 2013 by CEO Michael Culley on the belief that families should be able to enjoy humanely raised, great tasting eggs at an affordable price. Over the years, Michael’s family has joined him on this journey, helping to bring you the best tasting eggs from America’s family farms.

Today, The Farmer’s Hen partners with over 75 small, family farms who care deeply for their land and hens. Working with these farmers, Michael has seen the positive impact that family owned businesses can have on their communities.

To carry on the Culley legacy of Doing Good, The Farmer’s Hen is committed to caring for the communities we serve through partnerships with a range of organizations that provide support for people and animals in need.

Our values guide everything that we do.

From the care and respect our small, family farmers give to our lands and hens, to the trust you place in us every time you choose The Farmer’s Hen, we deeply value the trust and support of everyone in our family.

Our love of animals extends beyond our hens. We are a proud supporter of Home For Good Dog Rescue, who rescue dogs from high-kill shelters and give them a second chance at life.

Solar Power

There’s no greater source of renewable energy than the sun. We collect this energy with solar panels on the roof of our packing facility in NJ to help power and heat the building.

Rainwater

We do our best to conserve our planet’s most precious resource by collecting rainwater and purifying it to wash our eggs in our main packaging facility.

Paper Packaging

Our future goal is to use only 100% recycled paper cartons for every container of a dozen eggs. In the meantime, for the eggs we can’t package in recycled paper we package them in recycled PET that is 100% recyclable.
